Renee Sananes

Dr. Renée Sananes is a psychologist at the Hospital for Sick Children. She joined the Department of Psychology in 1992 as a post-doctoral fellow and never left! Since 2010 she has worked exclusively in the Labatt Family Heart Centre where her clinical and research focus has been on assessing and promoting neurodevelopment and quality of life of infants, children, and adolescents with congenital heart conditions and their families. In addition to her work at SickKids, Dr. Sananes has been actively involved with the Cardiac Neurodevelopment Outcome Collaborative since its founding and is currently co-chair of the Innovative Approaches to Outpatient Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Care Special Interest Group. In addition to her clinical work and research, Dr. Sananes is involved in teaching, supervision, and mentorship of trainees in the Department of Psychology.
